Director experience

No more manual score tracking

Referees submit final scores from the field. Standings recalculate, brackets advance, and player stats update — all within seconds, without the director touching anything.

Live game feed on your dashboard

Every score, standing change, and bracket advancement appears in your admin feed in real time. See the full state of your event without walking to a single field.

Direct the event, not the scoreboard

When coaches ask about standings, point them to the public page. Your job on game day shifts to field conflicts, weather delays, and the things that actually need a director.

One link, no login

Every event gets a public page with a shareable URL. Scores, standings, and brackets update live — no account, no app download, any device.

Built for remote families

The dad stuck at work, grandparents in another state, the mom on field 1 checking the score on field 4. They tap a link and see the score. That's it.

Visibility that drives retention

Parents share the link with relatives, check standings on their lunch break. Your league extends beyond the field — and that keeps families coming back.

Frequently asked
questions.

Common questions
Q01Do referees need to download an app to score games?+

Yes. Referees use the Flag50 app on their phone to score games. The app is free to download on iOS and Android. Referees log in with the credentials the director or officiating company provides, see their assigned games, and tap to record scoring events during the game. The interface is designed to be used on-field with minimal distraction.

Q02Can fans follow scores without creating a Flag50 account?+

Yes. The public event page shows live scores, standings, and bracket state to anyone with the link. No account, no app download, no login. Share the event URL with your league's parent group chat before the tournament starts and every family can follow along from any device.

Q03How do tiebreakers work when two teams are level on wins and losses?+

Flag50 applies tiebreakers in this order: win/loss record, then total points allowed, then point differential, then head-to-head result, then coin flip. You can customize this order per division in the event settings. The system applies tiebreakers automatically whenever standings are recalculated -- you never have to figure it out manually.

Q04Do standings update automatically or does someone have to approve the score?+

Standings update automatically the moment the referee submits the final score. There is no approval step. If a score needs to be corrected after the fact, the director can edit it from the admin dashboard and standings will recalculate immediately.

Q05What scoring events can a referee log?+

Touchdowns, 1-point PAT conversions, 2-point conversions, safeties, interceptions, flag pulls, completions, and sacks. The referee taps the scoring event and selects the player. Each event is timestamped and attributed to the specific player, which feeds both the game score and the player's individual profile stats.
